Many players think that a Phoenix class ship could never beat out a Goliath class ship. Well, I have video evidence that it is possible if done correctly. The secret lies in two things, one the cloak and two finding the Goliath at the right time.

Using the cloak, travel to a map that is known to be frequented by Goliath on alien kill missions. As many players know that some higher level aliens can cause severe damage to a ship during the course of the attack.

Find a Goliath that is severe damage and most of its shield is drained and the ship has little hit points left. ( hover the mouse over the ship). Commence you attack by switching to a configuration which will dish out the most hit points. Use 3x ammo if if possible and use uri rockets ( 4000 damage per hit).

You can dish out over 5000 hit points in damage per shot and rocket, which will destroy the Goliath in no time at all.

The great thing is most of the time, the Goliath will not even try to run thinking that the little Phoenix is weak.
